1921 Thompson, MP 40

Just said I will for a mint Colt Thompson 1921 and an MP 40 now comes the fun part. If it is half as bad as my previous dealings with the Feds I may wish I hadn't bought them.

What are the markings on the MP 40? Is it all matching?

The butt stock has been changed but it appears to have been done before it left Germany so the price was better than a matching one. I was really after the Thompson it is mint and has a large box of mags, new 100rd drum still in box a 50 rd drum. I was offered a package deal on both so I went that way. Yes I could have bought an awfully nice car for what it cost me but I don't need a car and 1921 Colt Thompsons are awfully hard to find as nice as this one.

...sounds like all you need now are some L drums, shot/riot magazines and some .45 Remington-Thompson ammunition.

a 15lb gun (loaded) that brings back memories of good friends (too many now absent), magazine dumps & drum rolls of .45acp, huge grins & laughter...

Tried to reply it didn't go through don't know if this will. When everything gets straight ( there is a very good collection the LGS is trying from the same seller) things will get going on the transfer. The class 3 dealer is local and claims no problem with a title 4 form ( I think) I have a C&R don't know if that will help. Will try with the pictures but I am not set up to do it and the weapons aren't in my hands yet. There is only 1 MP 40 mag but a whole box of Thompson mags including 100rd drum in its box a loose 50 rd drum a pile of stick mags that need to be cleaned up. Once I pay for it I'm going to try and get the mags and clean the muck off of the sticks.

Transfers are running eight months for us now. Though a friend in Portland, OR, got one in 60 days recently. Maybe it depends on the agent’s workload?

My 1915 Colt Vickers is lonely and needs a friend if you ever want to part with the Colt Thompson.
