    Odd DOD Garand stock

I did not even notice it being side ways until I almost sold it. I will keep it as I like odd things

    Thats cool.

Here is an HRA that I found. The shame is its a nicely looking tiger striped stock.

    Double struck SA

I like the oddly stamped stocks also.

It was a Monday morning when the inspector stamped that one. Not enough coffee and grabbed the stamped with it turned 90 deg right.

If you've red the Lane Tips on these items.....

.....you would know that someone had to work hard to screw up even this little bit. The stamps are not like the ones we see advertised on eBay but a hefty five pound or so item that is held in a treadle (foot) operated machine, so the stamp had to be inserted in the machine at 45* or 90* from the usual position to get proof marks that were wrong like these.

I guess these are proof positive that even craftsmen can have a bad day. Still interesting and just as correct as a "perfect" stamp.
