    Some Advice Please

Could some of you members who are much more qualified than me please look at Gunbroker item 129755536. I just don't feel comfortable with it and I don't know enough to judge.

    Thanks, Bill Hughes

Pasted the link for you. In photo 15 I see what looks to me like shadow from a type 2 or 3 barrel band on the wood.

Picture 10 shows the left end of the mag catch. Aside from the oil hole, the mag catch shows a gap behind it that should not be there. The mag catch is a later modified type, so regardless of the marking, it is NOT correct. Assuming the marking is an IP marking, the mag catch would be a fake.

    Thanks to all

I appreciate your responses to my query. I can see the shadow for the type 2 or 3 band. The seller said that it has not been changed. But what really made me leery is that the seller is about 30 miles from me (same state) I suggested that if I won I would like to pick it up in person rather that have it mailed. The seller said that he could save me money by mailing and that if I picked it up I would have to pay taxes. But not if mailed! If he is charging taxes he must be a dealer and must collect taxes even if mailed in the state! Bill
