The M1A1icon was never made in a full auto version by Inland. Any that were found were all conversions done by armorys and such. To change one back to an M1A1 is easy. Just replace all of the M2 parts with standard M1 parts. But if the receiver has been struck with a 2 over the 1 then it shall remain an M2 forever per ATF. If one of the major M2 parts is stamped with the registration number then the carbine can be returned to an M1A1. hth
