    IMP/Op-Rod/Data/M1 Garand

    Gentlemen,
Here are three files that deal with the op-rod. One think I find of interest is that as SA is building the FIRST Rifles they are using a SUB-CONTRACTOR for the Important part of the op-rod??? Read on and there is data on the CRITICAL ITEMS I hope you find this data of interest. What do you guys think about these files??

Some data has been posted before others have not.

Check my sites if you have the time. TIA

    Thanks again

They seem to be the problems described in the Hatcher and Duff books. As crazy as it seems a lot of fellows "restoring" early production guns go crazy for early parts when in fact they were barely production ready and as far as the op-rods are concerned they love those early ones w/o the relief cut. This is not the safest thing to be doing if one plans on shooting them. I collect M1icon's as well as other U.S. arms for years and have seen things that would make your short hairs stand up. This is a good part of why I bailed out-SDH
