on the 1911 forum, a fellow poster, asked for some serial number info on 1911,s issued to the USMC.
if you look at the list, John listed, it shows a nice lot of 1903,s

notice the modified for scope list as well?

I already had all of them in my database, but I didn't know to what unit they belonged.
