    He must have had a size large duffle bag to bring all that back. More than likely they got back like some Germanicon observation binoculars I saw. Among lots of other things, the guy had 5 or 6 sets of the large 10X50 angle eyepiece observation binoculars mounted on full size tripods. He was an officer in North Africa after WWII ended, and had crates made to ship back all sorts of souvenirs.
