I need a fore-end to restore a sporterized 1950 CNo4Mk1*. Were fore-ends of that vintage numbered at the arsenal? I'm not planning on renumbering one, but I'm trying to figure out what the odds are of finding a lightly used CanadianArsenals-marked fore-end that is not numbered, or of finding a dark walnut Longbranch-marked fore-end that is not numbered. On what part of the fore-end were the CA and LB arsenal marks placed? I need to know what to look for on any that may turn up. Thanks.
