Rock Island bolts - safe to use?

I recently acquired an O3A3 in unissured condition. Perfect parking turning slightly OD green, bolt, bands, butplate and rear sight properly blued. To my dismay, when I took the bolt out to clean off some old cosmoline, I found it marked as RIA manufacture. Headspace is good on a Clymer gauge.

Is this safe to shoot?

Yes. Some are concerned with SHT bolts, so if yours falls into this category, buy a Rem or SC bolt.

What are the markings on the bolt?

Marked RIA? Or something else? Any photos?

Is there a possibility you saw an R on the underside of the bolt handle and thought it Rock Island?
