    h.r.a. garand with s.a. barrel

    hi,
    i know that this came up at another time, but what h.r.a. s.n. range used s.a. barrels? and what were the barrel dates? i seen one today and just need some info. before i buy it.

    According to an early artical by Scott Duff SA barrels began showing up in the 5722xxx range and mostly concluded in the 5789xxx range. Dates of barrels used range from Sept. 1951 through Feb. 1954, with the majority dated during 1953. Hope this is of some help.

    Most of them show up in the 5.75 to 5.77M range.
