I knew this stuff was good already, But I was still surprised at the performance of the Hornady 168 gr Amax Garand match ammo.
I had 13 rds of it left over from the Eastern Games and decided to put them through my Clint Folwler 3 lug Garand today. Now this is a humdinger of an M1, with every trick in the book. It is supposed to shoot, but it can't do it without good ammo. No matter how many times I learn that little bit of wisdom, I still get surprised at how much better some ammo is than others.
I shot all of those bullets into a nice round 4" group at 300 yrds today from position with my new Les Tam sling on it. The group could have been smaller had I not made a 1 minute wind change. In my book the Hornady Garand load sets the standard for 30/06 match ammo.Information
