    6.5x55 wooden bullets ?

    I have some loaded cartridges in 6.5x55 but they have wooden bullets
    any info or history on these
    I was told they were WW2 practice rounds

    They are practice rounds in the sense that they are blanks - noise makers. The wooden bullet facilitates feeding. A shredding device was installed on the muzzle to prevent the wooden bullet from acting like a projectile. Search the Swedenicon section here.

    Here's an example of how wooden bullets were used with Swedishicon military rifles and BFA's.

    Swedish BFA (Blank Firing Attachment) designed to be used with WOODEN bullets

    Swedish 6.5 x 55mm m/14 wooden-bullet blanks for use with threaded muzzle BFA (blank firing attachment) and Swedish 6.5 x 55mm m/12 Kammarpatron (gallery cartridges) for indoor training use at 15 meters. Harmless beyond 200 meters.
