Alright, I joined the O3A4 club!

Picked up this 03A4 from AA, and I'm pretty excited about it but I figure I better show some restraint until the experts weigh in.
It's a 3.421 mil serial, came with scope covers and a sling marked MILSCO 1944. Overall doesn't look used much, but the sling doesn't look used at all. The sling actually looks too new, how can I tell if it's a repro? The barrel is dated 8-43, muzzle wear measures about 0.8. The trap on the buttplate is a little bent, it won't quite close all the way but I forgot to include a pic of that.

Beautiful rifle. I hope one day to at least own a nice copy. Now take your rifle to the range and find out how it shoots! Sincerely. BruceV.

I was ahead of you about 5 months. One just has to have an A4. Now you need a WWI A5 sniper to sit next to it.

Nice aquisition Z. As far as the sling is concerned..well leather just doesn't last forever...I wouldn't be terribly concerned.

    Regards,

Thanks guys. I dunno bout another one or an A5 anytime soon, unless they just fall in my lap. And yeah while I am curious about the sling now, it was the last thing on my mind regarding this purchase, the rifle is what I was interested in.
