    45acp Blazer Aluminum case

Here is a pic of a new once fired Blazer Aluminum case that I obtained from a fellow shooter yesterday. I removed the primer and it's indeed a berdan primed case. On the case head it's stamped, CCI NR 45acp. I am quessing that the NR means "Not Reloadable."
Taking a needle nosed plier and trying to peel the case showed just how brittle it is after firing. It simply breaks apart in pieces. I would hope this ends the debate on re-using any aluminum case.

    Reloading aluminum cases

I second your findings. It is hard to understand why there is even a debate about them, but I suppose that some folks want to insist on an opinion. The use of Berdan primers although necessary where a certain type of ammo is only available with that priming system....is an unecessary pain in the tush when you consider the reasonable price for obtaining regular 45ACP cases that are once fired. Aluminum casings because of their brittle nature when already fired at least once constitute a hazard for the person firing them and whoever happens to be nearby. Once fired aluminum cases should be brought to the recycling center or sold as scrap. If anyone gets any substantial amount of $$ for doing that then they should use the money to buy some regular brass cases for the caliber needed for reloading. JC
