    Newest Member of the Family

I thought I would share a few photos of the newest member of the family. It is a 1955 No 4 Mark 2 (PF339xxx). Since it is a 55, he is the youngest member of the family since his brothers are all from the 40's.

Nothing special about this, just my most recent purchase that just arrived today.

    Looking good....

Is the matte black finish on the metal original or has it been restored?

This is an unissued and unfired No 4 Mk2. The previous owner removed it from the mummy wrap and cleaned it. I also have one still in the mummy wrap.

So what plans have you for this rifle? If you're gonna shoot it, its best to degrease it in the hidden areas under the fore end and handguards, otherwise the grease runs into the pores of the wood. Not to mention generally making a mess!
