I know the type 2 stocks had extra wood left on later in 1943, however look at the pics..my early 208499 [Feb 43] Inland's stock wrist behind the recoil plate is much thinner than my Underwood 1422508 [June 43], stock wrist, by at least 1".
War Baby says the change occured in Oct 43? Or did I miss something? The Underwood stock is type 2, with earlier UEF/GHD with no wheel.
The 1st set of 2 pics is the Inland, [type 1] the 2nd set of 2, is the UEF.
My WRA, 1108196 is in between, as is my 700K Inland/SG, but its closer to the earlier Inland's girth.
