    Primers for sale

Have just returned form the Dale City, VA. show. While there, a gentelman approached my table offering small rifle primers for carbine reloading. I ask "How Much?" "$50.00 per thousand firm for Winchester and/or Federal". A while later I saw him again. He had sold out. Did I miss out on a great deal or what????

Since there are no small rifle primers anywhere's to be found, only you can answer whether they are worth $50.00 or not.

Last weekend I saw aisles full of various primers for $49/M and for $36/M, at stores within a hundred miles of each other. I checked for someone else this morning and didn't seen any avail. on a few large online store sources.

If you need them, then it's a deal!... JMO.

I'm trying to wait before buying any primers and I hope the supply loosen's up and the price drops a little. As I usually buy by the case that would be pretty expensive for a case of each size.

I was at the WAC show in Puyallup, WA on Saturday. I saw more primers available their then I had seen for several months. Prices ranged from $40 to $60 per brick. I bought a brick of CCI small pistol for $40. He had several bricks available, but I was just replacing what I had used in the last three months. Maybe supplies are starting to return back to normal, although two different vendors told me they were just receiving orders placed last Nov & Dec.

You are seeing more primers now as reloading has always been mainly a winter hobby. Less people just load less in the summer months. Been selling reloading equipment and supplies for 23 yrs. It is just the way it is.
