    weak hammer spring question

    can i just stretch or should i try to find a new one, if so where?
    ...
    BTW, the firing pin is pointing to my house in mattituck (old indian name meaning 'where goo lives'.) on the north fork of long island,

    Stretching the spring is a temporary fix at best,once a spring has set it will return to the old position even after stretching.Get a new one they are cheap.

    Springs have a "memory" and you can stretch them to any length you desire, but they will return to whence they came, very soon.
