Valley Guns - Lee Enfield No 5 Jungle Carbine & Bayonet (click here)

Featured here is a Lee Enfield No5 Jungle Carbine.

Cal 303 Britishicon, bolt number matches receiver number.Bore clean with sharp rifling

Comes with the hard to find No5 Bayonett, and sling.

Rifle manufactured by RFI (Rifle Factory Ishapore) & dated 1960.
Butt stock has small chip out of it on top right where stock enters butt socket, as seen in close up, top handguard has a crack on the right side.
Overall condition is fair bordering onto good, bayonett has pitting on blade, normal from jungle use, but wood handles have no cracks.
Buyer must have valid Canadianicon PAL for Non restricted acquisition, buyer pays GST tax, only ON residents pay the PST tax.

Buyer pays exact shipping via Can Post courier to be determined at end of auction.

Starting price is same as the reserve price
    Good luck on your bids!!

One of these days, someone is going to make a specialty of collecting Ishapore reworks, and the No.5s will be a less common example. I can remember only one batch brought in by Century. But in the meantime, that's a lot of money for a rifle in fair to good condition with a pitted bayonet (from jungle service, no less, not just poor storage).
I've noticed that often on this auction site items are listed with a high retail value as the opening bid, and potential buyers are given the opportunity to pay even more.
