I picked what looks to be some sort of jig

on the side it says " USE ON LEFT SIDE OF M1, 1903A1 , 1903A3

AND CARBINE STOCK,

It has 2 diagonally drilled holes, then 2 hole side by side

I think it might be for the rifle grenade sight.

Its a drill hole jig for placing the screws for the launcher sight mounting plate. I have one myself.
