[Snafu]

American troops of the 8th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, wade through land flooded by Hitler's forces in an unsuccessful attempt to make glider landings impractical, on Utah Beach, France. These men carry full combat equipment and many have their life-belts still inflated should the encounter water over their depth on the march into the interior of the continent. 9 June 1944.
