    K98 Cleaning Rod Measuring

As posted in Gunnutz, I am buying a K98icon from P&S. As a russian capture, I need to measure for a cleaning rod. What do I use as point A and point B when measuring for the correct size? HOw far out is the cleaning rod supposed to extend.

It should look like this when screwed in ....

    This happens to be a 10" version on a 1939 Code 42 Oberndorf K98kicon...

There are several more pictures like this in various K98k photo montages within the MKLicon...

    Hope this helps....

Measure from the cleaning rod nut (in the stock) to the approximate center of the front sight, and you will be in range.
