    Paris gun auction

I attended a gun auction in Paris today which had a number of milsurp rifles + handguns. There was lots of Lee enfields + mauser rifles from different countries as well as some unusual ones. Some of the highlights were:
Lee Enfield No4 mk1(T) sniper rifle with wood box + scope $2750
    L.E. #9 Mk1 .22lr trainer with #7 wood box $600
    L.E.#1 mk3 Siamese with matching bay. $350
    pair of Germanicon 1871/84 mausers $285 + $300
    1908 Uruguyan mauser $225
    C96 german mauser broomhandle $1050
    Pair of U.S.iconM1917 30-06 Mfg. by Eddystone $250 + $275
The L.E. jungle carbines were selling in the same price range as the #1 + #4's $225 -$300.The antique sniders + matini-henrys brought good money. The auctioner didn't have any pics or list on website + I went only to get out of the house for awhile.

Prices are all over the place, at the shows, private sales, auctions.. Someone offered me a Snider Sgt's needing work, but at $250. A 3 band went for $400. Rim fire rifles complete at 50 bucks. A couple full military Ross's were sold at 250. 8mm ammo 300 for 60 bucks and 303 Savage ammo buck each. Civil war cap/balls for couple hundred ea. and near mint 1897 Brit swords at 300 and Germanicon WWI at 150. Also pair of friends picked up muzzle loading shotguns for 100 each at that Paris auction.
On the flip side triple or more is the normal prices on above, but I have seen some really good deals last year. And about to see much more. These are tough times.
