Invasion of Cape Gloucester, New Britain, December 24, 1943. Coast Guard and Navy manned LST's participated in the invasion. Disembarking from a Coast Guard manned landing craft, Marines push a "jeep" ashore. Note the Marines carrying litters for casualties to come. (12/24/43)
