    There are a ton of images at the LOC. The problem is that the search engine is underpowered. If you do a search, it comes up with a maximum of 5 pages of results. If you click on one of the items you see items come up under "subjects" which aren't listed in your initial search. I'm guessing there are several times the amount of images as what comes up in the search. I guess the site contract was given to the lowest bidder.
