    Exclamation Surplus Police carbines available...

FYI, Zanders has some surplus Detroit PD carbines available for sale. Kind of pricey for shooters, but some may be interested for collecting a PD marked weapon. BTW...no affiliation to Zanders...just receive their emails.

They have national ordnance listed under "government m1 carbines" looks like someone made a mistake?

Yeah, there's a few mistakes in there:

    Irwin Petersen?
    Inland Container?

I just got off the phone with my Detroit PD buddy and he tells me they are all in great shape and they are still using them. They don't carry them in the patrol units as of last year but they still have some. Hummm!

Many were issued to them during the late 60's riots.
