What does the bore look like? I don't see why not.

The bore is bright and shiney. mw and te are good, and headspaces good.

That gun must have gotten into seawater and was not properly stripped, washed with fresh water, dried, and oiled. Any external pitting on the rest of it??

Its only pitted under the rear handguard area
