Both are great pictures. In The 1st. one, the Marine is armed with a carbine with attached grenade launcher and a grenade on his pack. He also looks to have the handle of a pick-matock on the back of his pack. The pick-matock is in the canvas case under the pick. The walking Marines seem to be carrying alot of extra gear. The 2nd. pic speaks for itself......Frank
Is the walking Marine armed with a Winchester Model 12 shotgun in the 1st picture??

Yes and thanks Mark. You do have a way of getting those M1's in the pics. "Garand Pic Of The Day" It is my first stop in the A.M.....Frank
