Authentic M73B1 Scope on Ebay?

Any opinions on the M73B1 scope on Ebay? Mixed parked and blue?

If so, my guess is that it is a put together scope or maybe a depot rebuild. If "Telescope M73b1 is electropenciled on the tube then that would indicate the tube is from an earlier version scope. That one looks like it should have the roll stamped "Serial No." on the side and possibly the drwg number. I have never seen a parkerized M73b1 on an A4, $500 would be beyond what I would pay for it.

Serial # 8328..Scope is a mixmaster/parts from "who knows"?? - I have reports of two other scopes with parkerized tubes; again "who knows?".

Chuck - It may be a "functional' scope but it's still a parts/mixmaster scope. Certainly not worth more than about $150.00 IMO.

I believe one of my TM's or parts list indicates that faulty scopes were not to be discarded but to be returned to depot level for rebuild/repair. Like Mike I have seen at least one that was completely parked. Possibly this unit was rebuilt (and parked) and then subsquently repaired again by (?).

The first M73B1 scope I bought was in a small gun shop and was on a Remington single shot .22. He was full phosphate finish, and had a black sealant around the front and back lens. I have no recollection as to how the serial number was marked.
