    Merrill’s Marauders, officially named the 5307th Composite Unit (provisional), was a United Statesicon long range penetration special forces unit in the South-East Asian Theater of World War II which fought in the Burma Campaign, famed for its deep movements behind Japaneseicon rear defenses and thrusts towards superior forces. Along with six other Ranger Battalions, they are the only World War II-era United States Army Rangers.

    Mark, Thanks for this photo and the attachments. Philip Piazza, the current president of the association is a friend of mine and is in Rotary with me. I have heard him talk many times on the actions they were involved in. They were all heroes!

    Mark, thanks for the pic and link. The 5307th. has always been one of my favorite units from WW2. I just watched the movie (again) a couple of weeks ago.....Frank
