    Remington 03/A3 FJA Cartouche

Just wondering what you guys think. It looks "off" to me. I do see that the F seems to be correctly spaced in relation to the JA, but shouldn't the horizontal line in the A be lower?

    I want yours!

Come to think of it, I don't remember even seeing the RA on the stock in question. I'll have to see if I can find it again.

Early Remington's and all LC Smith-Corona's didn't have the RA. It would help if you could post your rifles s/n (or most of it) and a pic of the slot for the rear band retaining spring.

    Regards,

    Jim

As far as this one goes, I saw it for sale on the internet a few days ago. I can't seem to locate now and I didn't pay attention much to the serial number.

Don't SC stocks, although I'm sure not all, have an E stamped in the barrel channel and/or on the fore end?

Here is some pics of my stock that is from my Remington o3a3. I thought I was 90% sure that it was a remington stock untill you mentioned the E stamp in the last pic. Anyone confirm what the E is?

It sure looks like it's a Remington stock to me. I guess the E thing isn't reliable. I do believe that the upper band spring cut is still a good indicator, but I can't remember which one is square cut and which is round.

Greg - Remington ='s square...SC is round. Also SC has a distinctive sub-inspector stamp pattern forward of the trigger guard. See the link above to Vi-Shooters site
