    Announcement Informative Garand Bayonet Article

Some of you may be aware of the GCAicon (Garand Collectors Assn) Journal's recent article on M1icon Garand Bayonets (Fall 09 Issue). If not, it's a good article to check out for info on the M1905 and M5 bayos...they link to the article from the 'GCA Journal' section of their website: http://www.thegca.org/Bayonets409.pdf

Not to mention that the CMPicon will be taking delivery of literally a boatload of bayonets in the new year. Stay tuned.

It's real, 170,000 or 45 tons of them. All kinds, from M1905 ascending, scabbards of all kinds too.

    Ross,

The authour of that article is one of the finest young men that you'll ever meet. Very professional hobbiest and very skilled. Publishing his article was a joy with the explanations and quality photography he provided.

The GCAicon's website was redone, and links changed... it's a darn good article.
So just wanted to post the new link to the article
    http://www.thegca.org/pdfs/Bayonets409.pdf

it's listed here on their site, about 3/4's the way down...

    All ready ordered?

I thought the CMPicon bayonets went on sale Nov 29? I ordered some. The email I got was @200,000 and free shipping if ordered in 2010. If these are pre orders I'm used to waiting for 3-6 months, but my last order (NPM) M1icon carbine came in 10 days After order was placed.

They were down to about a ~ 2wk lead time, yea it was great, but didn't give enough time for the CC to heal.

At this point from what I read, they are still working on Nov orders.
Will be on a short staff for the holiday week(s).
And with the bum rush they had on the M1D acc and Bayo's and now Spam cans of m2 ball that just showed up, I think the lead time will run out a bit again, till late Jan.. just my guess..
But at this moment I don't think we'll be back to waiting 6months.. my HRA took nearly 8 months.
