loading 7.62x 39 with taper crimp?

just began loading the ammo for an AK47, using a Redding Taper Crimp after seating the bullet into the case. Has anyone used this type Redding crimp versus the other type? Any pro's and con's? thanks

I have used a taper crimp, roll crimp, and "factory" crimp on 7.62X39 without any trouble. Don't over do it with the taper crimp as you "can" squize the bearing surface of the bullet down to much.

Bullet and cartridge dependant. Bullets with a canuler are best served with a roll or “factory” crimp. Cartridges that head space on the case mouth are best served with a taper crimp.

The crimp employed in my seating die seems to work just fine. I have found that adding any other or more crimp actually decreases the accuracy in my rifle
