I am the sponsor of a Petition to bestow upon Audie Murphy, the most decorated soldier of WWII, the Nation’s highest civilian honor, the U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom, in recognition of his lifetime contributions and achievements to the Nation as a soldier, best-selling author, actor, songwriter, poet, businessman, and Patriot.

I would really appreciate any support that you all can as I am a one-man show and getting the message out has been exhausting.
One last thing, this Site where this is hosted, has nothing to do with my beliefs or values. It was the best Site for ease of application and other features I could find, and although a "Liberal" Site, I could not find a "Conservative" Site out there to host it on.
As we all know most Petitions by their very nature are liberal causes, so I appreciate your understanding. Many people today don't remember or just don't care about Audie. That is so unfortunante.
I posted the link on the USO's Facebook Page and they removed it, yet they will leave links for Bon Jovi and Brittney Spears.
I just don't get it!
Makes one wonder....

I really appreciate the support for the Petition.
I agree with Bill, actually I forewarned him I think, that the Site it is hosted on is very left-wing.
Just so everyone is clear as to why it is on this Site, let me address the issue in short.
It was brought to my attention some time ago, that there was a concern that the Petition is hosted on a very liberal Website.
Please understand that I am a one-man show. When I developed the idea for this Petition, I simply sought out a Site that would faciliate ease of hosting, the ability to add a photo to the Petition, and the ability to print the Petition when complete and the cost of hosting it, in this case there is no cost to me.
I have searched high and low for a no-cost Conservative Site to host the Petition on, and there just aren't any out there.
Let's try and remember the old saying; "the message is more important than the messenger".
Getting the message out was my only concern.
Petitions by their very nature tend to be liberal causes, be it "Saving the Whales" or "Ending Global Warming."
I hope that you understand my position, and will continue to sign and support this initiative.
