    I'd say no...

...I have never seen any USGI surplus in that type of packaging. I'd say someone reused a box from a different source to store his varid collection in.

    Question

    Definately not a US box.
Any marks embossed into the box top or sides?
Seems like the US grenade ctgs had a knurled ring aroud the case about 1/4" above the rim?

The crimp looks European with the three points. The original crimp looks to have been swaged out. The sealer colour iswrong for U.S. and the front crimp looks too rounded. Mine is Frankford Arsenal with a very tall crimp with five open groove petals. There is a ring around the neck above the shoulder and no knurl above the rim. The primer is also brass like the case. These almost look like they have been re-manufactured by someone.

Does anyone know if grenade cartridges are being made at this time? Or if cases can be formed to load your own? Thanks, guys.
