    Gas Cylinder Replacement Project

Going to start the replacement process on a semi-auto BREN Mk I*(m) mostly Canadianicon bodied receiver soon.

It looks like it has the Mk I gas cylinder in front so I reckon I need to round up a Mk 3 replacement. (Were any Mk I* (m)s equipped w/ some hybrid variant cylinders that were pressed in?)

Who has parts? I'd just as soon not whittle one out...

In my very limited experience with Bren guns, all Mk1's from the UKicon, Canadaicon and Australiaicon came with the screw-in type gas cylinder. I think that if you're looking for a Mk3, someone on the forum might contact you if they've got one spare. I wonder if anyone has ever had the front set of holes welded up. We (in the military) wouldn't opt for such a course of action but in the civilan world, needs must...........

Might be worth contacting BDLicon before you dive in JM as he did a particularly difficult one a month or so ago.

My clamping system consists of two components:
    (1) a more positive cylinder clamp that would keep the cylinder from rattling around, and
    (2) an adapter to support my CO2 bottle, which is considerably smaller than a compressed gas bottle because its contents are liquefied.
Sorry to say that i don't have any parts..
    Wishing you good luck.

So sorry, this ones a ".303" SAA ball" powered firearm, not airsoft. Although those can be fun too...
