50 Cal. BUG...... for the AR

Gents back again, I have my AR fsb done. New question? I got the bug to build a 50 cal. now how safe is the AR15 lower for a platform to build a big bore? Is there any body out there who has some experience in this matter? How many companies sell these pin on uppers and how accurate are they? LOOKING FOR GOOD INFO! Thanks Jeff B

I built a 50 Beowulf and it rocks. It is very accurate. I did not use the typical lower. I have a lower that is pretty much the same but machined specifically to only accept M3 Grease Gun mags. No adapters needed. That is the only way to go, in my opinion.

BTW, I have a brand new complete 50 Beowulf bolt carrier group for sale if anybody needs one.

My buddy built a standard 5.56 lower and bought an .50 BMG upper from BOHICA Arms. He has probably ran a couple hundred rounds through it with no problems whatsoever. Personaly i have fired it and once I got past the flinch factor it is very accurate. Unfortunately the only range close is limited to about 150 yards. Hope this helps.

Check the Rock River Arms site. They have uppers for 458 SOCOM.
