I need some help with my remington03A3

I just got my hands on 2 1942 03a3s for free and they need a little work on them. They both have plugs on the barrles only,and had plastic stocks put on them.
1 rear sight missing and 2 trigger bolts . I found all of the items but the barrles can any body help with a good place to find barrles.

Specialized tools are necessary to remove, replace and fit new barrels. It really doesn't make sense to buy the tools for only two rifles.
Also it sounds like they were converted to drill rifles. The barrels may be tack welded in place.
I think your first stop should be to a qualified gunsmith to determine if the rifles are suitable for rebuilding, He should be able to give you a labor quote and should also know where replacement barrels can be found.

there is no noticeable spot welds around it there was tons of packing oil in it but I will take then to a gun smith, and also would u be able to see the welds?

I saw one, NIW, at a gun show on Saturday. I think it was about $125. The dates for the NIW barrels that I see seem to be mostly '44. Check ebay and Gunbroker.

Some Drill Rifles were welded on the top of the receiver and some were welded on the bottom of the receiver. Have a good 'smith check these thing out. When it is too good to be true, it usually is just that.

the weapons were ceremony weapons there are no welds on the bolt or barrle.. Unless you cant see the one holding the barrel

there were no welds on the barrels on the cut off just a military vet that got luck lol

If it hasnt been welded you may be in luck. To remove and replace the barrels though you still need a barrel vise, an action wrench, head space guages and possibly a chambering reamer. The chambers in brand new barrels are usually a few thousandths short so they can be reamed to the exact fit.

Even though the old barrel may be junk don't clamp the receiver in a machinist vise and use a pipe wrench to remove the barrel. You risk "springing" the receiver.

If both receivers are marked Remington try to find replacement barrels marked "RA". A Smith Corona Barrel will fit and work but the mismatch is kind of undesirable.

Where these the two rifles you asked about in your other post? I didn't see this thread, or I would have answered differently. The date of manufacture info I gave you was correct, though.
