    Talking 24/47 markings

I just bought another Yogo 24/47 for project described in different posts, the metal is like new, end to end and the wood is a little rough but completely acceptable. The strange thing about this one is every part there is a "3" stamped into it. The serial # is 1,3##. I checked all the dead tree info I have and could find nothing about a 3 marking. Do any of you fellows have the same marking or know what it means? Thanks-SDH

There is a 24/47 based on an FN action already in the MKLicon and I'm working on another based on a Serbian M1924 action.

    the "3" is actually a cyrillic "z". It's a pre-ww2 inspection stamp from Serbia.

Would this be a full size receiver (I'm hurtin too much to run down to the locker and measure it up)? Also, would it be sacrilege to modify this gun? I got it very cheap for these parts ($109. US) and was hoping it is just a plain Yogo 24/47. I need two of these and one M48, all semi bottom feeders for my projects. Many Thanks-SDH

No worries - all M24/47's are based on the intermediate length action. Some were made from FN made receivers, others from Serbian made receivers. Tehre's no real difference once they are converted to 24/47 standard!
