    good morning everyone (if your up yet ).
    yesterday i put a very nice DOU44 on layaway at a local antique store ,its in great condition but the problenm is i know nothing about them ,,where were they made ,,?what country ? oh and i talked the seller down from the high 300's to 255 ,did i get a deal and also ANY INFO would be fantazmagorical thanks for spending time reading my ramblings..adrians

    Try Late War . com. They have an extensive database on 1945 Germanicon rifles. A good start for a 1944 version.

    dou was the code for rifles made in Brno by Bystrica in what was then Czechoslovakiaicon

    it's hard to say if you got a good deal without pics. how's the bore? shootable? are the markings still there or have the swastikas been peened?
