    what to do with WC860

I found some WC860 surplus powder, and I can't find anything on it's use except for 50Cal MG loads. Has anyone used this poder for other apps?

You need to get a Barrett .50 cal or other big bore magnum type rifle. Similar to Hodgdon H870. Consider selling to someone in the .50 cal business and buy some other powder you can use.

I've been shooting WC 860 in the 6.5x55 with Mag primers

The cases are left clean, and no trash left in the bore. Accuracy is excellent.

I did not come up with the idea, I found it on the Cast Boolit board:
    Wc 860 - Cast Boolits
Suggested Surplus for 6.5x55? - Cast Boolits
    WC860 for 150gr 270 loads? - Cast Boolits

There are a lot of other calibers they've used it in:
WCC-860 dirty slow but it shoots - Cast Boolits

I loaded up some 300 winchester magnum shells, with 175 grain bullets, and the WC860 with CCI mag primers, and it worked very well, with not alot of junk in the barrell and the groups were good. I will push on to the 338 mag now and do the same.

well, found that I did have a way to give this powder away, my in laws had a 50 cal shooter in the family up north, so gave it to them to shoot for free. Too bad I could not send it back to the guy who mistakenly sent it to me but no license to transport powder back to him via UPS.
