    Yugoslavian Markings

It seems that every part on my new Yugoicon SKS has a differnt number stenciled on it, or at least every removable part. Is this some sort of way of keeping track of the parts in assembly/disassembly? Most of the numbers start with a bunch of 00000 or 00-0000 and then seem to go in numerical order 001, 002, etc.
