    K98 waffenampt question

    Evening gents.I have a German K98icon I shoot quite abit and
    am wondering about the waffenampts on it.It is a yugo
    restamp,matched numbers/forced,many of the german
    markings remain all are the eagle with WaA 655.Anyone
    know this marking?Thanks Much Redhorse

    That would almost certainly be a K98icon made at the Oberndorf plant. It would have had either a 42 or a byf code on the reciever pre-scrub. Badger was kind enough to post some waffenampt info here:
