    Want new stock for M1A

I have a NM M1Aicon built in the 1980's that I want to restock and have bedded. What do you guys recommend for a stock? I was thinking laminate or walnut due to cost over fiberglass. It will need to be service rifle legal.

Try Fred's. He has some beautiful presentation grade walnut and "Big Red" birch.

    Good Luck!

If you are going to shoot it in service rifle, you can get a NM oversize stock that meets the rules and will be quite large compared to a standard stock. Laminate is nice, if you are going to have it bedded try to find one already prepped with the internal oversized routed areas. It may be a good idea to contact a reputable M14icon armorer to find out what it takes to get it done. Now is a bad time to do this due to everybody wanting to be ready for this years events now.
