    limited number AIA-L42 and M10B No4Mk4 case

Thought these might intrest a few of you. Cased AIA L42, Low build numbers, each set includes a leather bound copy of Ian

    Skennertons "Lee Enfield" history.

The picture of the case housing the No4 Mk4 T M10B was sent to me by AIA so as to confirm my outstanding order.

Fully dovetailed with all new metal components. The books shown are not indicative of the kit. Most of the items are in the photo are for

    effect only.

Many thanks to Badger for the help, much appreciated and thankyou to Kyle at AIA for the use of the images.

Thank you for sharing these photos, they interest me greatly. That is one nice set of rifles, the transit boxes are awesome!
Do you know how much AIA charges for each set and what did you order?? Is someone selling these sets here in Canadaicon?
Any chance you could give me Kyle's email address?

I don't wish to be rude. However, I really don't get the point of expending this huge amount of effort creating these kits, when the originals upon which these replicas are based are readily available - and probably for less than the replicas... Or am I missing something important? If so, forgive me.

    perhaps you have

Yes, you have missed something important. Some here like a new built rifle of new materials for shooting, instead of shooting historically important, some rare, some irreplaceable rifles. And especially nice is that these are based on a tried and true design. If you don't "get it", that's fine, then leave the discussion to those that do.

    a question....

What edition of the Lee Enfield is the dark covered book, with what looks like the AIA emblem? Very nice kit, wish we could get them here!

Hmmm, looks similar to the Limited Edition (303 copies) Leather Bound and box sleeved book "The Lee Enfield". Looking closely, I'd say it's a standard copy of "The Lee Enfield" with a special cover with an AIA rifle and their emblem as opposed to the No5 and EFD Roundel on the original, in a slightly modified box sleeve.

    Clever marketing ploy...

    Here's pics of my orig.

Personally I'm going to hold off buying the kit until they include the free steak knives....

Yes it i'd say it was the same book, good job on finding yet another angle.
im sure its part of the conspiracy also.
No steak knives though, just the book.
Ian Skennertonicon has worked very closley with AIA, perhaps you should Email him and see if he thought it was a ploy.

Sorry, but what is your problem? There's no conspiracy, anyone can see from what is in his book and on his website that he and AIA have had links for quite a while.
I know many years ago- back to the days of the britishguns.com web forum, (a few here may recall it..) Ian was regularly in contact with AIA about details for their projects. It's no secret. I don't see anybody denying anything, I don't see a problem with the association either. Both he and AIA are business people trying to secure their share of a consumer market... and having an associating with each other is beneficial to both- more power to them! Putting out an edition of "The Lee Enfield" wrapped up for inclusion in AIA's limited edition package is "a clever marketing ploy".... the "steak knives" was a joke...
