    1939 WW2 German Rifile

Hi I'm new here...I need help with this german rifile that would like to buy.
Its look's real with all the marking in it but the problem is the wood stock on it has a checkerd or diamond pattern on it...right side. I want to make sure that it's all original..sorry no pictures.

pretty hard to tell with no pictures, but it sounds sporterized (or at least bubba'd).

No Germanicon WWII rifle was checkered. It is sporterized.

This rifle has been modified from it's origianal condition. If you want the original configuration, don't buy that gun, it's been sporterized. Check out gunbroker or a local gun shop, it shouldn't be too hard to come across a k98 in its original form.
