    Q. About age&safety

    Hi all,
    I've been crusin lookin at various C&R eligible
    '97s and,wondered; what the cutoff date is for the oldest
    slide thats safe to shoot W/smokeless powder.

    I would think condition would tell you if it's safe to shoot.

    All of them are made for smokeless. As above- condition determines whether it's safe.

    Win93s?- not so much! Esp. as they aren't 2 3/4" chambered. ( I have one that's shootable- but it only gets light loads in the 2 1/2" shells.)

    Thanks for the input guys.
    I didn't think there was a problem,but,since I'm
    new to the details of the97s .I wanted to make sure there'd
    be no nasty suprises..
