    AKS No. 32 scope s/n's

Can anyone help me pin down the approximate serial number range when the dates changed on the AKS Mk III scopes. I am mostly having trouble with the 44-45 transition.

I know scope #17139 is 1944 dated, but my next scope number on record is 18214 which is 1945.

As for the 1945-46 transition, I know it happened between scopes 28522 and 28594.

    Thanks guys

I have a AK & S, Mk. III, dated 1945 that is well outside the accepted range and I KNOW it is not a phony. If you want to discuss it drop me a private email.
    Cheers,
