    RSG stock With bomb

Charlie, I just picked up this stock. When looking it over I found this.
I was wondering if this is unusual?
It is a nice stock looking for a rifle.....Frank

How about some pics of yourIBM and NPM?

    Hi Frank,
I just looked at a RSG.... SG stock on Ebay that also has the small bomb behind the recoil plate area.
Also a OI stock with it, but you have to look closely to see it with the picture blown up.
Both, like all the others I've seen with that same bomb placement have a RIA/EB stamp on the side.

I think it may just be a inspection stamp from RIA, just not positive.
    Here's the 2 links....

I'll try to get pictures around of the IBM by this weekend.
I've torn the NPM down, making out a data sheet.
Trying to rest up today after humping 40' ladders, picks and jacks around for the better part of 2 weeks. Luckily rained out today!

    Regards,
    Charlie

Thanks Charlie, that makes sence since this one has the RIA over EB stamp on it also.
It shows only type one band ware, it doesn't show signs of being cut down but is a low wood. It's really a nice stock, should clean up and look good.....Frank

I had notes about the size of the RSG letters.
But they must be in my mis-placed copy of WB.
IIRC, the later the RSG stock the larger the letters.
They did use a Type III lo-wood towards the end of production at SG.

Nice looking grain. Looks like a nice find.
