    Is this barrel original?

I have a rebuilt SA 1903 #481,XXX with a 2-12 barrel. It's not that close considering it's not wartime production so I was wondering if you guys thought it might be original or not.

    Thanks,
    Jarrod

I think it probably is original. Old Guns net shows a manufacture date for that serial number range as 1911, so given that that's not a precise date, you're barrel seems to match up.

Barrel seems a little late, but were talkin' months, so its probably original.

Looking at Canfield's book I was guessing a difference of about 6 months.
